How to Work with a "Sped Up" Client

In this mini-training we share with you the steps to take to work with a client who is coming to us feeling "sped up" and overwhelmed.

Instead of telling out clients to "slow down" it's our job as the practitioner to create containers where people are able to feel safe, seen, soothed and secure. Also, as the practitioner we don't want to jump on the "sped up" train ourselves either.

We've identified the steps we take to support ourselves and our clients to find calm and security in the healing process.

The steps we take to do this are:

1. Acknowledge the feeling

2. Create the container for them to slow down

3. Lay out a plan and steps to the best of your ability - give them a roadmap to hold onto

Check out the video below for the full mini-training.

With over 20+ years of combined clinical experience, we want to deliver helpful tips that we've learned over the years for you to support your clients to achieve the outcomes they desire! Leave us a comment with any other questions or scenarios you'd like us to explore, and we'll put them in a future video.

With Love,
Megan & Christina
