We’re devoted to helping you embody your wisdom and ignite your work as a healer.

Meet Megan

First and foremost I’m a mother, wife to my favorite human, friend to my favorite people, and earth tender to a small farm in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon where I have one horse I provide sanctuary for and a wildlife habitat I tend and care for.

My path to nutrition and holistic healing started 20 years ago when I watched my closest person who was more like a mother to me fall subject to conventional medicine while battling a rare autoimmune disease called Wegener’s Granulomatosis. Witnessing the person I loved most in the world waste away propelled me towards alternative modes of healing. I began studying herbal medicine, nutrition, somatic healing, and the ways that trauma, especially childhood trauma impacts our ability to have a clear path to what it is to heal.

Now with 17 years of working and teaching under my belt, I’m a Functional Nutritionist with an MS in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine, Health Coach, Herbal Educator, Teacher, Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner specializing in supporting women navigate the wildly complicated terrain of hormones. I co-founded the Slow Medicine Collective with my beautiful partner and friend Christina Tidwell so that we could offer a healing sanctuary for practitioners to learn, grow and be supported.

Meet Christina

After my own experience with chronic autoimmune disease at a young age, I became a Registered Nurse to help people heal. Working in the conventional medical system I saw how it was supportive in acute scenarios, but was not set up to get to the root cause of bigger, underlying issues. I became a Functional Nutrition Coach, started my own practice and have had the honor of working with hundreds of individuals to take control of their health and uncover their body’s innate healing potential. When I met Megan I was inspired by her wisdom, deep compassion and connection to the earth and natural world. Together we are reimagining a new way of healing that is sustainable, steady and able to meet us all exactly where we are at this moment in time.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Nursing from the University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia.

I am a critical care trained Registered Nurse, Board Certified Nurse Coach through the American Holistic Nurses Association, Certified Holistic Health Coach trained at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and a Functional Nutrition Practitioner certified through the Functional Nutrition Alliance.
